How do you know that you know God?

Of all the questions in this life that we can answer this is certainly one of the most important. The connection between knowing God and the salvation of the soul is inseparable. Jesus said in John 17:2-3 since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. (3) And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. So when I ask How do you know that you know God I am asking an important question about the very state of your soul. How do you know that you are saved from sin and in right relationship with God? This is the fundamental question to be asked of all religious people. How do you know that you know?

What is your answer?

John wrote in his first epistle concerning this issue. He gives a number of reasons that are summarized in one verse. 1John 2:3 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. In this verse Jesus is equating our relationship with God to out relationship with our bible. How you treat God's law-word is how you treat God.
